为了让大家能够有机会更多地参与到听力活动，特别开设了这个贴子，大家可以就听力中的任何问题进行讨论。

例如：
1）哪个地方始终听不出来？大家可以一起帮忙找出原因。
2）哪些习惯用语特别常用的，可以和大家分享一下，这样大家也同样可以跟着mp3朗读，提高口语。
3）可以挑出某个单词或者词组进行详细分析，包括该单词的英语解释，各种词性变化，同义词和反义词。
等等。

其实通过一篇短文听力，大家可以得到多方面的锻炼，听力，口语，阅读，写作，一举数得。

说明：以上内容引自Ludwig 提供给我的文稿

大家可以在最近两天先总结复习一下part01至part05，可以参考Ludwig的提纲进行总结（见#3楼-5楼）或者用自己的方法总结也可以。随便总结多少，重在参与。最后我会将大家的总结进行汇总。

另外，总结的时候最好有中英文解释和例句，也可以列出近义或者反义词。

下面的内容包括单词和特殊句型总结，由Ludwig提供，非常感谢！

说明：下文中有些地方会出现“征”，我已经用蓝色标出来了，希望大家一起补充完善。

一、单字总结：

(完全误导的故事提要)睡美人的故事，前半段叙述某位昏庸的国王，得罪仙界高干，幸好上头有人顶着，仅遭受百年惩罚；后半段叙述后辈懦弱，因为后宫问题而陷入危机，幸好下头有人扛着，于是结局皆大欢喜。是一个中篇故事，有些篇幅，因此，总结一下睡美人的情境，以及对应的字词联想。

首先，故事需有背景设定。归纳一下故事里的人物、场景、时间。

1)生物
各种假想生物，在现实生活难以见到。如：
fairy
dwarf
sorcerer
witch
ogre(母的是ogress，形容词ogreish)
dragon

其它非假想生物
wolf
goat
lamb
deer
puppy
partridge：鹧鸪、松鸡
pheasant：雉、野鸡
nightingale：夜莺
(guard's) fierce dog：獒犬
great monkey

2)贵族
童话里必定是公主、王子幸福地生活。(国王、皇后呢？－－倘若没死，终会成为恶人。)

3)仆役
贵族排场壮观华丽，需要众多仆役在旁服侍。
征：皇宫仆役、职务
page：(贵族的)青年侍从；(旅馆、剧院等)男侍、听差
maid of honer： (女王、王后或公主的)未婚侍女，(pl.)maids of honor
the chief lady of honor：首席女官
nanny(pl.)nannies
ladies of the bedchamber
gentlemen
officers

4)时间
如：在此刻、这时、现在

既是皇宫，四周镶金嵌银、雕梁绘栋。

7)纺织、布料相关
故事开始；国王得罪高干，惩罚降临在公主身上－－不能教公主女工。

a spinning wheel：纺车
a cardigan：羊毛衫
The Princess would have her hand pricked by a needle on a spinning wheel.

征：复苏的四种应急方法。

9)容貌侧写
公主昏倒，肯定叫不醒(逃避学习)，但她必须维持美姿美仪，才能引诱多情的王子，鼓起勇气亲吻。
征：公主睡颜、容貌的用语。

10)树木、植物
故事承接；王子前来拯救，遇到灌木挡路。

11)各种走路、穿越的动作
遇山劈山、遇林伐林。

12)负面形容词
坏人接踵出现，故事转折；最大反派是皇后。

spite：(名词)恶意、恶毒

13)说话
泄密呢？还是不泄密呢，这是难题。
征：和说话有关的字/句/词组
Trust someone with sth.：相信某人而把某物告诉/委托给他
keep sth. as a secret：保守秘密
He answered not a word.
tell someone one word about sth.

14)各种吃相、吃法
皇后口味特别。
征：和吃有关的字/句/词组
to pounce on：扑过去抓住
to gobble up：狼吞虎咽地吃、急切地抓住
to devour：狼吞虎咽吃完
to eat up：吃完、吃光

15)难关和困惑。
in a quandary：陷入困惑、左右为难
sth. puzzle sb.：某事使某人感到困惑、为难
to have all the difficulty to...
to despair of + V-ing：不抱...的希望
to wonder at sth.：觉得奇怪、不明白

二、特殊句型

1)主语省略

[现在分词]：
主语相同的情况，可省略主语，将第二句的动词变化为现在分词作状语
1. The good old woman, not knowing what to do, cried out for help
2. He answered not a word, being resolved to cheat her as he had done before.
主语不同的情况
3. He was fencing with a great monkey, the child being then only three years of age.
4. They made a magnificent entry into the capital city, she riding between her two children.
解析：
如果用 rode，那么从语法上讲，这两句就都是独立的句子，要么用句号隔开，要么当中就要加个连接词。
而本文用的是「现在分词作状语」（riding），而因为前半句的主语（They）跟后半句的主语（she）不一致，所以后半句要加上独立主格，就形成了「带有独立主格的状语从句」（she riding ......）

[过去分词]：
It was a ruinous old castle, haunted by spirits.

2)If过去假设句型
The King would never have married her had it not been for her money
=The King would never have married her if it had not been for her money
if出现在过去假设语句的时候，可以和have倒装，并且被省略掉。

『说明』注意连读，听起来就像 customer fairies，注意不要理解错。

【单词】
insult
『义』v. 侮辱, 凌辱
『例』He insulted me by refusing to shake hands.

mutter
『义』v. 咕哝, 嘀咕
『近』grumble
『例』'You moron,' he muttered under his breath.

forbidden
『义』adj. 禁止的, 严禁的
『近』prohibited
『例』Forbidden City 紫禁城

【词组】
between one’s teeth
『义』adv. 低声地
『近』under one’s breath
『例』'You moron,' he muttered between his teeth.

on pain of
『义』违者以...论处
『例』Lying is prohibited on pain of death.

no sooner … than
『义』adv. 一...就...
『例』No sooner had he sat down than the phone rang.

如果能有详细点的解释那就更好了，不过这个工作量很大，可能需要大家的共同努力。

根据Ludwig的提纲总结一点。

各种假想生物，在现实生活难以见到。如：

1）fairy

[n.] 仙女, 精灵
[a.] 仙女的

2）dwarf

[n.] 矮子, 侏儒
[vt.] (使)变矮小
[vi.] (使)变矮小
同义词：midget / runt / shrimp
反义词：giant
词汇辨析：dwarf和midget （都含“矮人”的意思。）
dwarf 指:“由于发育不全而身材矮小或呈畸形, 但头部则与正常人相等或较大者”, 如:
Their son is a dwarf. 他们的儿子是个矮子。
midget 指:“身材矮小而其他部分正常的人”, 如:
midgets in the circus 马戏团中的矮人。

3）sorcerer

[n.] 男巫士, 魔术师
sorceress

[n.] 女巫，女术士，女魔术师

和wolf有关的idioms
cry wolf, to give a false alarm: Is she really sick or is she just crying wolf?

【词组】

2．He did not say a word about the sleeping beauty, let alone how he had married her.
let alone 更不用提；更别说 not to mention

【语法】
1．The King would never have married her had it not been for her money.
本句使用了虚拟语气，表示对过去的假设,，主句、从句都要用完成时。
if出现在过去假设语句的时候，可以和have倒装，并且被省略掉。
上句 = The King would never have married her if it had not been for her money

2．They made a magnificent entry into the capital city, she riding between her two children.
本句采用的是「带有独立主格的状语从句」（she riding ……），因为前半句的主语（They）跟后半句的主语（she）不一致，所以后半句要加上独立主格。
如果用 she rode ……，那么从语法上讲，这两句就都是独立的句子，要么用句号隔开，要么当中就要加个连接词。

【词义】

gild - to cover something with a thin layer of gold or with something that looks like gold
orchestra - a large group of musicians playing many different kinds of instruments and led by a conductor

由……照顾 (being looked after by someone)

under the care of somebody ＝under somebody's care
由（医生…）照料 (be officially looked after or treated by someone)

resolved [adj.] 下定决心的
be resolved to do something ； be resolved that
下定决心…… (be determined to do something)

resolve [v.] 决定；解决
resolve 用作表示“决定”时，不可用进行式和被动式。
resolve 用作表示“解决”时，可以用进行式和被动式。

3．It was now that the poor clerk of the kitchen despaired of being able to deceive her.

despair [vi.]
despair of (doing) something
对...感到绝望 (to feel that there is no hope at all)

4．He put himself into as foul a mood as he could possibly manage.

put somebody in a good/bad/foul… mood
让某人有好/坏/非常坏…心情 (make them feel happy/annoyed/angry…)

as比较句型的结构：
as＋形容词/副词＋as
as＋形容词＋名词＋as

5．"I shall deceive the Queen once more, by giving her in your place a young deer for her dinner."

in place of somebody/something = in somebody's/something's place
替代 (instead of someone or something else)

6．
crave - to have an extremely strong desire for something
wicked - behaving in a way that is morally wrong
devour - to eat something quickly because you are very hungry
ramble - to go on a walk in the countryside for pleasure
tub - a round container, for packing, storing, or washing things
